  • Bill Lawrence Double Cream pups?

How is he able to produce them without any legal problems or is it because his pups don't use the typical bobbins like most other pup makers?

Or is it because his business is so small?

AFAIK, Larry's infamous trademark specifies double cream bobbins and 12 round polepieces.

That's exactly it. The patent doesn't apply to bladed pickups. In fact, if you look at some of the GFS line, you can order double creams on the bladed pickups, but not the regular 12 polepiece humbuckers.
