  • WLH Bridge vs. '78??

    Jest wondering...

How would you compare the tones of these two pickups?

When you've had budget guitars for a number of years, you may find that your old instrument is holding you back. A quality guitar can inspire you to write great songs, improve your understanding of the Gdim chord while in the Lydian Mode, cure the heartbreak of cystic acne--and help you find true love in the process.

In the ash hardtail Strat I had the 78 in now has the WLH in it .78 had more emphasis on the mids , had somewhat spongy lows and was a bit warmer , the 78 is not just for VH it's sounds great for classic rock thru 80s metal depending on the amp, pedals ect. WLH has a more sparkly top end , tighter lows , not scooped but definitley not mid heavy as its pretty balanced. Has a more organic tone than the 78, great for classic rock thru hard rock like UFO,early Priest and Scorpions to name a few. That was the way my ears heard it thru my Splawn SS ,YMMV
When asking for pickup suggestions please tell us what amp you`re using
