  • T Top humbuckers: insulation

    Guys,

I forgot... Please, help me: what's again the insulation of the T Top? Poly, right? Not formvar?

    PAF's are plain enamel
vintage fenders were formvar (or heavy formvar?)
    T Tops: poly.

    right?

    yup.

Late (very late) pat# and T tops are poly. As are most Gibson humbuckers ever since.
I'm an internet person. All we do is waste time evaluating things that have next-to-zero real world significance.

Thanks. I have so much specs in my mind that I kinda loose track of it every once in a while. I like how gauges and insulations are being mixed up nowadays: 44 with formvar, 42 with heavy formvar etc etc (in a humbucker, I mean). Gives nice results!
