I have a SH-2 Jazz that is reading 3.81 ohms on a 20 ohm setting on my meter. The info says it should be at 7.72 any ideas why i'm seeing this? please

Are you potentially reading only one coil? Which wire did you use to check the resistance?

when i tied green and bare together and touched black i got 7.51 ohms. there you have it tie the red and white together and tape them off tie green and bare together and connect them to the negative lead on the meter. then touch the black wire with the positive lead. bam you got the real ohm reading.

"7.51 ohms"....Your meter reading is way off.

Actually, your meter reading is good, your translation of the reading is way off. Should be 7.51 K ohms. That's 7,510 ohms.

            Just saying.
