  • Need some Dimarzio HH Wiring help please :)

    I have a set of 36th anniversary pickups that I am installing in an ESP Eclipse. I am wiring in a DPDT switch to turn off one of the coils on both pickups. If I do it the standard way - black and white to ground - will the middle position be hum-cancelling or do I have to flip one of them and if so, what is the wiring scheme?

    This looks like the diagram and it shows the neck flipped with red&green going to the "tap" switch and white to hot (vol pot) and black to ground. IS this diagram correct for what I am after?

    Thanks -Frank

    Try this:

    One pickup:
    Red -> hot
    White & Black -> to pull/push switch (to be shorted to ground)
    Green & bare -> ground

    The other pickup
    White -> hot
    Red & Green -> to pull/push switch (to be shorted to ground)
    Black -> ground
