  • Installing Pick Up in Fat Strat

Ok, I've got a question about Pick-guard holes.
The stock humbucker in my fat strat is installed with 3 screws(2 on one side, 1 on the other), but of course a normal humbucker uses 2 screws (1 on each side)
Will I need to drill a new hole between the 2 holes on the side that has 2 holes?
That way there will be 1 hole in the center of each side...
    Your help is always appreciated.

Yep, just drill one hole between the other two. That's what I did with my Carvin.
    Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.

i had that on the pickups that came with my ibanez flying V, but i just changed the humbucker ring. just do a small hole then make it grad bigger til the screw fits or something, just dont do a really big one first.

Very awesome, thank you guys very much... I believe I will be having a Luthier install the Invader into my strat, but I still wanted to know how it's gonna work out.
