I would like noiseless pickups that would get me into hard rock and metal territory, when I want to, and still give me, somehow, the Strat quack if possible.

I would suggest SD's Everything Axe set. JB Jr. in the bridge, Duckbuckers in the middle, Little '59 in the neck.

Which is clearer with dirt? The SSL-3 or the SSL-4?.
