I sent a request to the CS about whether it would be possible to do a strat set with Charlie Christian low-output behaviors / appearance that wouldn't require routing, and fit within a normal strat pickguard. (I'm not looking for a set of big pups, but I want them to have that bar magnet look, thick wire, etc., that gives that tonality. I never got a response. Would it be doable?

I think he does a Strat drop in CC style pickup already.

I'm sure they could mimic that style of pickups construction since the hot strat stack already has a central magnet.
