Re: Hot Rails for Springsteen ?
They are Joe Barden tele pickups, not duncan rails. He uses the Gatton models which are actually vintage and low output sounding in characterLast edited by Falloffthebonetone; 06-23-2014, 09:00 PM.

Re: Hot Rails for Springsteen ?
Rails aren't automatically the Seymour Duncan hot rails. Seymour also offers cool rails, which look almost identical and the vintage rails which are in the same ballpark of appearances.
That's not even getting into all the rails models that DiMarzio carries.

Re: Hot Rails for Springsteen ?
I remember reading in the early days, Springsteen was using Quarter Pounders in at least one of his Teles, he also had them sealed in epoxy because he would short them out with his extreme sweating on stage during those 3-hour shows (QP's didn't have any covers on them). He obviously has been experimenting with different pickups over the years.
