  • Quick shot special Bridge pickup for metal Q: p

    Hi GUys, hows it going?!!?

ill try to be as straight as possible Q: p
Bridge pickup that has tight and deep bass, also tight mid bass , crunchy amd prominent mids, Hot HIgh mids and hot/singing highs ?
HIgh OUtput and eq similar to these
    Bass - 6
    mid bass - 6
    Mids - 7
    HIgh MIds - 5
    HIghs - 7.

Tonal character = articulation under high gain for extreme metal sound. Tightness for eventual open chord riffs, and singing hot lead tone.
should i go custom shop for this or does duncan offer something like that already and i dont know?!?!

I saw that Bare KNuckle just released the Juggernaut, and the Dimarzio guys releases the Titan set.
Emg hasnt released anything besides the 57 and 66 that are another approach.
Is duncan releasing anything similar to these 2 modern metal pickups?

I noticed that Blackouts, Black Hawks and D activators are modern takes on the Emg 81-85 right?!

    Let me know. Q

Blackouts don't really sound all that much like the EMG 81/85 set, if you want a pretty close copy, check out the Duncan Designed HB-105 set.

D-Activators have their own sound as well. In fact, for tightness, try the D-Activator neck in the bridge of a guitar.

I'm going to go completely different with this one and say Alternative 8 in the bridge and Jazz in the neck.

This is coming from a guy who also hates the JB and Distortion.

Jazz in the neck, at least not for guitars with basswood or alder body . i already owned one and it lacked mids and was too bright. not fizzy or harsh but too bright instead of dark. Im a from the depths guy. ahahahahahahah

this is why i dont like those particular youtube video that are super produced with bass, and backing tracks.
i understand that for some people this is an extraordinary way to listen the pickups, but for me i preffer it without production and alone.cause it is just camuflage with all those extras. and i cant identify the characters i need on apickup in a clip like this
