  • Split Hi in series with single middle

    Hi all,

I'm changing my US strat to a HSH, I have a jb for the bridge, 59 for the neck and a Tex special in the middle.
It's still at the design stage but I'm planning to do this:
    1. Bridge hb
    2. Split bridge + middle
    3. Middle
    4. Bridge inside coil + neck inside coil
    5. Neck hb

In position 2 I was considering having the split hb and middle in series rather than parallel. Does anyone have any input or opinions on this? My way of think was that in series there shouldn't be too much of an output drop when switching from the hb.... Or am I wrong :/

    Amy input is much appreciated!

You would probably need a super-switch for that

Yeah I have one ready to go!

From a tone point of view, would the series setup make much difference? Just wondering if anyone has tried this...
