Wiring Classic Stack Plus pickups on a Strat

hi, I'm over in The UK and a little confused about wiring these noise cancelling pups on my guitar so that I do have the noise cancelling feature enabled at all times...
The basic wiring diagram shows the red wires taped off and not used.....won't this result in the pickups being in true single coil mode?......I would have thought that all 4 wires would have to be used to get the noise reduction operational...
There is a second wiring diagram that seems to indicate that the NR is operative but the 5 way switch on the diagram is far more complex than the basic switch that comes on a Strat...
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks, Paul

With the red wires taped off, the STK-S4 will be in hum-canceling mode all the time. This diagram shows a standard 5-way switch.

I hope that helps.

And just for the record, this is exactly how I have my STK-S4/4/9b's wired in my Strat. No fuss, no muss, sounds killer. ;)

Re: Wiring Classic Stack Plus pickups on a Strat

Where can I find a diagram for these classic stack plus with a humbucker in the bridge?
I want to split sounds in the bridge + mid position. I mean split the humbucker but keep the stack plus full.
I can't seem to find a diagram in the new layout of the web page

That would not be hum cancelling in notch position, if you really want the HB split and no hum then you really need to split the stacked in middle. Also, if you want to use the inner (slug) coil then you will need a RWRP version of the stacked plus, if you want to use the outer (screw) coil then using the regular model would be just fine.

Is it HSS? How about this?

I clicked on website Support > Wiring Diagrams and selected:
3 pickups
neck: single coil. Weird enough selecting a stacked won't lead you to what you need.
middle: single
bridge: Hubucker
Vol: 1
Tone: 2
Switch: Super 5 way blade

And then on the top of the wiring diagram a legend says: 1 single coiled sized humbucker, 2 stacks, 1 volume, 1 tone (I picked 2, I know, I don't like this new tool), super 5 way blade.

Don't worry about the fact it is a single-coil-sized HB, the color code is the same as a full HB.

Re: Wiring Classic Stack Plus pickups on a Strat

Thanks Imenator, I ordered the stks4 mid which is rwrp and was able to get hum cancelling between the full stack and the split humbucker inner coil (the one closer to the neck)

Let us know how it sounds (and looks)!
