Custom vs JB / Shred vs AN on Epi

I own a Epiphone LP Standard... I want some Petrucci tone with nice pick attacks and also some Iron Maiden mids too, if it is possible - I am not too crazy about mids though. I play a lot of progressive metal and some NWOBHM.

I was thinking of going either Full Shred / Air Norton on neck and Custom / JB on bridge... but I can't decide. Some help? Thanks.

Anyone? I can't wait to get my pickup tomorrow, if I will be able to choose that is...

From SD sound clips I hear that DD has the most "push" and JB has the most "bite"... and DC is somewhere in the middle. I like DC's clarity though.

I think I might go with Full Shred, I am not sure.

i say go jb/fullshred. the jb sounds good in an lp for metal if you like that brighter 80's sound ( iron maiden, metallica) and the full shred would work good for petrucci type leads in the neck. and if for some reason you dont like your combo then you can return either one within 3 weeks and get a different type.
