    Thanks for the powerful insight man. But here we are at a gear-related forum, in a sub section about pickups. So I see a little tone-quest question about specifics as relevant and useful. Also it's geeky and fun. Playing (technique & taste) will always be king.(universally)

      Isn't all this discussion simply a guitar players version of talking about the weather? What else are we supposed to do when we not swinging our axes?
