  • Phat Cat pickup set up Question - need help

Hi bear with me on this...
I ordered a Phat Cat p-90 to replace the bridge
pickup on my Epiphone Les Paul Elite Semi hollowbody. My intentions was to just replace the bridge, but upon examining my order from music 123 I noticed I ordered the neck pickup. So suggestions...Can the neck pickup be used in the bridge position? Would that even work. What would that sound like? Should I try and return the neck pu for the bridge, or spring for the bridge and replace both stock humbuckers with Phat cats? I play a mix of surf/rockabilly inspired Indie rock/punk and general noise/shoegaze stuff...I wanted the punchy P 90 for a boost, more midrange, clarity, and a more "authentic sound" Am i after just the bridge PU? can I get out of this fiasco with the sound I need??? Thank you.

One problem you might have is pole spacing. If the screws aren't right under the strings, then you might hear a difference in output.
