  • Cream OR Parchment?

I have some fender gen 4 noiseless in my Strat. I want to replace the bridge pickup with a hotrails. My pickups covers are fender’s “aged white” is Seymour Duncan’s parchment or cream closer in color? I am thinking cream because fender's aged white is darker then fender’s parchment; I think the pictures look a bit lighter then in reality. Pickguard is aged white pearl.Click image for larger version

    Re: Cream OR Parchment?

The only white cover variants that perfectly match between Fender and Duncan are pure white. Last I checked, none of the yellowed white variants match exactly.

Duncan Parchment is only mildly warm, but it's still yellower than Fender Parchment. Fender Parchment isn't even really warm, so much as dingy white. It looks like white unless you are holding it up to something that actually is white.

Duncan Cream is yellower than Fender Aged White.

Your best bet to match Fender's Aged White is to get a Parchment Duncan and let it yellow a bit over time, or you could even accelerate the yellowing by leaving it in a windowsill for a bit. A Cream Duncan will be too yellow.
