  • Installing a chrome pickup cover (solid, no pole holes)

i just ordered a trem spaced custom custom for a strat project and i am going to be putting a chrome solid cover on it (no holes for the adjustable poles) i talked to a few people about it but i want to make sure i do this right the first time...i know i'll need to repot the pickup...not a problem, i have those steps down...but i was told 3 different things about the adjustable screw poles...

-one said, screw them down flush with the top of the bobbins before putting on the solid cover then repot.

-another said put a small bit of electrical tape over them so they don't make direct contact with the solid cover then repot.

-another said just stick the cover on (don't touch the screws) and then repot.

soooooo....what do i do? which would be the best method for this?

thanks very much for the help!!

probably best to set the poles flush with the top of the bobbins and then put the cover on and dip it
