Just put a set of Rio Grande Muy Grande's (Nashville Tele Set) in my Nashville Tele. They sound great, but there is a constant, loud buzz with occasional crackling occurring, which completely stops if I touch the control plate. This occurs in all 5 positions. I tried grounding the control plate by soldering it to the volume pot, but the solder wouldn't stick to the control plate.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Use some sanding paper to roughen up the surface and use some flux when soldering. That should do the trick. Good luck!
