Just curious, but what are Evan Skopp's fav pups? Is he a strat, tele, LP or Explorer guy?

I really like the five-two also. I think its a very underrated pickup.

Evan's a vintage for the most part A2 kind of a guy. Knew I liked him for a reason!

Thanks Evan. You are a magician! You have this amazing talent to make things reappear. That's cool.

The pattern I see are pickups that need to played loudly. Crank up those Marshall Stacks. You are a rocker.

If I had a guitar with HB's, it would have Custom Custom bridge and Pearly Gates neck.

What pickups will your next strat have?

            Thanks for entertaining my query

IIRC, the guitar I've seen him with most is a Jackson Sweetone Jazz'R which, by the way, is REALLY pretty.

I dig his taste in pups too. Pearly Gates is badass.

I have a really nice Fiesta Red Strat on loan from Seymour. As soon as he finishes tricking-out my Lite Ash Tele, I have to give him back the Strat. He brought it over to my house one night when we were jamming, and he just left it there. I think he feels guilty that he's had my Tele since last Fall.

Anyway, after I give the Fiesta Red back, I might pick up a Lite Ash Strat. If it's anything like the Lite Ash Tele, it'll be a winner. If I do get it, I'll probably keep the stock Five-Twos. But if I change them out, I'd probably go for the new Everything Axe set.

As for my SweeTone Jazz'R, that's just a really special guitar. I'm looking at it right now as I type.

On the other hand, there's this new hum-canceling Strat pickup that we have in the works that's pretty darn cool...

                        Yeah, smells good...

The everything axe is a JBjr/Duckbucker/Lil59n IIRC? Part of the new matched sets.

Actually, these have been talked about quite a bit not too long ago. Several forum members got pre-release sets to demo. I know Lew did, and I think GearHo and Curly. Lew has a write-up on them around here somewhere.
