Hi,
I have a Steinberger XQ-25A 5-string bass with what appears to be active SD Basslines Soapbars and a version of the STC active eq. The electronics in the bass appear to match the STC wiring schematic (plus a Mid cut/boost as well as the stacked bass/treble cut/boost pot).
The circuit board is identified as 412095 REV 3. The battery +ve is wired to both the board and the pickup red wires. The bass has master volume with pull out contour switch, pickup blend, stacked treble/bass and separate mid.
My question is - can I safely upgrade this bass to 18V operation?
Thanks,
Stu
