I have an ebony on mahogany Heritage H-147...well it sounds pretty warm with Schaller Golden 50 Alnico II's...on my opinion ebony on mahogany & rosewood on maple difference would be negligible or do not differ but ebony fingerboard is a much better quality & looking board than the rosewood...so I recommend choosing ebony on mahogany...

the ebony on mahogany. the other sounds "snappy" and a little bright. nothing bad with that though

Ebony on Mahogany would definitely be warmer than Rosewood on Maple.
