    A '59 is too deep and would require a rout that goes through into the back rout for the Parsons-White mechanism. What are my options for a humbucker which will sit in a standard or only slightly deeper strat neck rout. FWIW, the little '59 in there now does not provide the desired tones. Thanks.

    How about a Mini humbucker? They are shalllow, (Like some people I know). I used to have one in my Benelectro. I'm thinkin' I might put one back in. It's a good matchup for the tele bridge pickup. I think Brent Mason uses one in his 3 pickup Tele-type. If you use the Firebird style, you don't lose volume when you bend notes because it has bars in the bobbins instead of pole pieces.
