  • help with nut widths

    i'm putting a new nut on my tele and am not sure what size to get i'm used to either being something like 1 11/16" or 1 5/8" but on fenders website it says the nut width is 1.6875" so which one would that be?

    Re: help with nut widths

    This clearly belongs in the guitar shop

    But IŽll still give you a quick Math refresher:

    1/16" = 1 divided by 16, in decimals 0,0625

    1" = 16/16", no math necessary...

    but the fraction: .6875 , divided by 0,0625, equals 11
