yeah that one CC clip of his with the big open chords almost knocked me over.... but i was usin a crappy ibanez and the line 6 guitar port for this.......so just imagine that the CC would sound even better through a real tube amp and a niec guitar...

It sounds like it has that midrange sound I look for.

Yes I agree, like a Seth on steroids I think the CC is great for a more "modern" rock sound.

Yeah it seems so, but it is still a sweet 'bucker with the charateristics of the more vintagesounding ones.
Seems like I found my perfect Wolfgang pu.

                      Re: Duh...CC

I tried a CC in my Wolfgang, but I eventually took it out because it was lacking bass. No matter what I did or how I EQ'd the amp, all I could hear was midrange. I liked it better with an A3 magnet, as it had more bass and a little more overall clarity. If you like that 1984-era Van Halen sound, then you'll love the CC in a Wolfgang. If you have an A3 magnet lying around, give that a try, as I think it works better in a Wolfgang than the stock A2 magnet.

Heh trust me, I do not lack bass in my setups.
I am not a big fan of modern sounding too tight pickups
Right now an odd hybrid of a Demon and a JB fills the spot for my normal Demon or 59 bridge pickup.
The 59 went into my 88 Kramer as it is a fat guitar from birth.
The Wolfgang is very open and crunchy...has lots of presence and great defenition, so I need a loose pickup for my playing, that would be something like the Seth, EVH, APH-1 or the CC apperantly

In that case, I think you'll probably like it. Lots of people love that pickup in a Wolfgang. But do try it with an A3 magnet if you can find one, I liked it much better that way than in its stock form.

ive head some clips around and they sound awesome, but im just concerned on how the alnico2 will sound with the mahogany. its either goin to be the CC or the Custom

I like the CC best of all the Custom line -

it can certainly go in a mahogany guitar, what nonsense!
