Duncan flat black humbucker finish

Are the flat black uncovered 6-string Duncan humbuckers (Black Winter, Nazgul, etc) the same flat, matte black texture/finish as Dimarzio’s flat black uncovered humbuckers?

Thats a good question. If they aren't I bet you could use some polishing sandpaper to make them the same.

According to this article, you get that option. My guess is that it is a Shop Floor Custom option, available to order from any authorized dealer.
