  • Your Favorite Modern Duncan Pickup?

By modern I mean Duncans that was released in the past 10 years. Do you have a favorite? For me it's the Black Winter hands down. The perfect pickup for my style and really verstile, too. Just sounds so good. Love the way it sounds in my guitar. Now, I just need the neck...

For me, it would probably be the Perpetual Burn. All around, do anything bridge pup.

How do you find out when pups were released? Mine is the Phat Cat. I think it's one of the best pups Duncan has ever made.

Phat Cat was 2004. There was a Duncan timeline on the web, but now it can only be accessed via archive.org / the WayBack Machine.

Whole Lotta Humbucker set is my fav from the last 10 years. (Assuming modern means release date, not style of music.)

If the Phat Staple was released within the past 10 years (which I am pretty sure it was not), then it's that.

P Rails? Also might not make the 10 year window.

I guess it's the WLH. The '59/C Hybrid is good too, but WLHs are GREAT.

For me, it is the 59/Custom Hybrid. It is 2 older sounds combined to make a really great new one.

Perpetual Burn for me. I bet if I tried a 59/Custom Hyrid it might take over that spot.

                              Overall...Black Winters (surprisingly)
The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.
