  • Casino stock bridge P90 too hot !

Got my 1st and maybe only ''new'' (to me) guitar for 2021.

It is a 2012 Epi Casino.
The stock neck pick is actually pretty OK . . . even for jazz'y stuff.

But that bridge needs to be replaced.
I am open to diff brands too.

    What do you suggest ?
Helpful hint : . . . i am going for the White Stripes-era Jack White Eastwood Airline kinda bridge tone.

See below link at 6m26sec for reference.

    Much Appreciated.

You could try putting the bridge under a neck cover to lower it.

tell me, if you find a replacement- that fits the stock covers! :o

I got a Wildkat, I've heard that it has the same pickups as the Casino

No shade but have you played with pickup height, guitar controls, amp controls, spent time playing it without scrutinizing? Seems rather early to be condemning the pickup... 2021 isn't yet two weeks old!

My experience is that when I'm looking for tone problems, I find them... when I let go and just play the instrument for a few days or weeks and twist knobs to find pleasing sounds, I'm often much more satisfied...

Definitely easier said than done at times, especially as a mod-minded individual

Casino P-90s can't be raised and lowered. The only possibility would be a neck cover to lower it.

No kidding? Complicates things a bit doesn't it.

the video is blocked for me too.

your bassman is a lot beefier than whatever he was using. i saw the white stripes and his tone was BRIGHT and thin

If a neck cover doesn't solve it, then perhaps a Duncan vintage P-90 under those covers might help solve it.

During the White Stripes time, he used a Twin Reverb & (Sears sold) Silvertone 1484 in (((stereo)))
Pedal wise it has always been an MXR Micro Amp and EHX Big Muff.

I will find an alternative youtube clip
