Should a Phat Cat P90 normally hum more than a single coil

If the guitar is properly grounded and shielded would a Phat Cat P90 hum more than a single coil pickup if they both were close or same in DC output ?

the shape of the coil is different than a strat pup and so is the magnet structure so i dont know. i have a phat cat and havent noticed any appreciable amount of hum difference compared to a strat pup

A PC should make less noise than a traditional single coil because the coil is completely shielded with the base plate and cover.
