  • Map a tele switch to a gibson switch?

I am replacing both pickups in a Tele-style guitar. It does not have a traditional Tele-style switch but rather a Gibson-style 3-way switch.
The wiring diagram below looks perfect except that It demonstrates a three-way Tele-style switch. How do I wire this to a three-way Gibson-style switch?

you will need to add the push pull for the coil tap in yours

    in the image linked
    and in yours

black wire is hot ( to either side of the toggle )

red goes to the push pull in your diagram

in my linked one just connect one black wire to the outside legs of the switch and ground the center

    bam your done

On the Two Humbucker diagram... When looking at the two push/pull pots facing each other, The volume Terminal 1 is folded back and grounded. The volume terminal 3 is connected to tone terminal 1. Is that correct?

I always try to think of ground as the most "clockwise" terminal, rather then left, right, or 1-2-3. That solves the problem of how you're viewing it. But it still assumes, you're looking at the rear. If you're looking at the pot from the knob direction, counter-clockwise is always "down."

                yes

                or better yet
                What Artie said

you can do your treble bleed off those same two terminals

whichever style treble bleed you like
( I use the one bottom right )
