  • Saturday Night Special Two Wire Hookup Please

    Hi Folks,
I'm stuffing my Saturday Night Special bridge pup into my ES-335 Dot bridge position. Problem is ... I can't find info on which wires go where. Every guide I have is for all 5 wires being attached ... I only need 2 for conventional wiring.
This pup (I hope) will be a bit warmer than the Gibson Pro I just took out. The Pro was a great output compliment to my neck Seth Lover (8.05ohm w/ A4 polished mag. Unfortunately, it was too 'dry' sounding no matter what adjustment. Feedback was never an issue.

    Thx,
    Jake

-Red/White get soldered together and taped.
-Green/Bare get soldered together and grounded.
-Black gets connected to the volume pot.

Yup. In effect, it becomes like a traditional pickup wiring. BTW, anyone can order any humbucker with either single conductor or 4 wire versions. Sound-wise it is the same, you just have splitting options with 4 wires.
