Excessive Wax

Have an old pair of mighty mite humbuckers with a ton of wax on them. Best way to remove?

Warm them under a light bulb and gently rub the softened wax off with an absorbent paper towel.

theres not really a great way to do that. you could use a hair dryer but gotta be careful. is there an issue with the pups or you just dont like the wax?
