Just arrived a few hours ago. This is going in my Squier Classic Vibe 60's. I had gotten some pickups from a forum bro (alex1fly). Tried them out and while I like the Fender Player pickup best of the 2 I got, there is just something missing. I'd been wanting to grab the Steve Harris model since I got it and always told myself that is the one. Was worth a shot trying a few others beforehand. I *might* get this installed tonight while I wait for a work call to start. Late night changes.

I tried a bass with these installed, and to me, that's the way a P-bass should sound.Administrator of the SDUGF

I love that pickup. I think it's the best classic modern pickup I've ever tried. Like Mincer said, it sounds like a P Bass should sound, completely authentic. Then it's enhanced in all the right ways to add some aggressive mojo.Last edited by Clint 55; 02-25-2023, 08:26 PM.The things that you wanted

Nice. I've never heard one of these. I'm currently planning on replacing my orange O bass pickup with a QP P bass pickup. How does the Steve Harris sound compared to a QP P bass? It's funny how some stories became historic,
especially when the authors clearly wrote them to be metaphoric,
But people will believe anything when it's written in stone or ancient scroll...-Fat Mike
