  • Help with Vintage Maxon/Ibanez super 70 repair

Im wondering if someone may be able to point me in the right direction here. I have acquired a set of 1975 super 70 pickups with braided leads. The pickups are working correctly as they are currently wired.
I have been having a hard time locating a color code for these wires and am not sure what the start and end of each coil are.

The bobbins are wired black wire of screw coil to hot on lead, red wires are connected and the black wire on the slug coil runs to a mini switch for a coil split. I was surprised both red were connected together and not a black and red.

Id like to revert it to stock wiring configuration and am wondering if all I need to do is re ground the black wire from the slug coil to the baseplate?

    Many thanks

I would ask over on the Ibanez Collectors World forum.
