Saw a talented street guitarist over the weekend. Despite what appeared to be very basic equipment he sounded quite amazing. . His guitar was a somewhat worn Eko jumbo acoustic which appeared have been electrified by simply adding a humbucker attached to a piece of wood (plywood?) inside the sound hole .A vol and tone knob had also been added .His Amp ,which looked very home made was also his seat. Power was by a car battery. He sang without amplification.
Cannot believe how good it/he sounded both with and without bottle neck. Would have thought feedback with that big hollow body would have been terrible bt perhaps having a DC supply helped..
Not of great interest to most but thought it worth mentioning. Probably true that a talented guitarist can make an electrified plank with a single string sound good.
