  • Secret Agent mounting

Does anyone know how to mount a Secret Agent? Is it the size of a Tele neck pickup and then you use foam to wedge it under the pickguard? I’ve got a cool idea for a guitar.
    Oh no.....

    Oh Yeah!

pretty much, yes. im sure you could mount it other ways, but its designed to be under the pickguard, but pressed right up against it

I've had the idea of using a standard Tele pickguard as a "guide", mounted to an Esquire pickguard, to use as a Dremel router guide to route out just the bottom ply, on a 3-ply pickguard, to make a channel, or "pocket", so to speak, for the Secret Agent to lie in. Maybe held in with some RTV, or maybe some of that credit card "booger" glue. So far, it's just an idea in my head. I haven't tried it yet.

In my case I have a Tele body, so it seems you just spring-load the Secret Agent with foam, then align as the pickguard squeezes it in?
