  • Non- Staggered Fender single coil pickups.

    Hey all,
A friend of mine, AND myself, have late 90's American Strats that have non-staggered pickups.
Did they come this way stock or have the poles been adjusted on these ?

The 2 90s Strats I played a lot had flat poles. I prefer those.

The guy on this site says there is no such thing. If they're flat, they were altered. I gave him numerous examples to the contrary and he still says they dont exist. At least not that way stock. Gombrelli Guitars USA - Stratocaster Design Then again, he also says the pre-Fat 50's staggered pickups were the same as Tex-Mex . OK LOL

My '98, '04, and '05 MIM fender strats all came with staggered poles.

Look under the pickups. If they were staggered then they will show this on the underside now if if they've been pushed flat on the top.

Your strat came that way. Fender Delta Tone pickups were the standard pickups in the made in America standard strats in the 1990’s.
