  • How is this different than a normal treble bleed cap?

    Was reading this article:

Push-pull pots can turn a regular guitar into an insanely flexible tonal solution for every occasion. Most commonly used for eliciting single-coil-like tones from humbuckers, players can sometimes underestimate what all push-pull potentiometers can do. But that’s a mistake, because they can work all kinds of magic while hiding invisibly in the routing your guitar...

Then it talks about the "specially tuned" high pass filter on JS2410 guitar. Sounds like a great idea. So I find the wiring diagram (below).

It looks to me like all it does is put the treble bleed cap on a push pull. Is that all it is? Why are they calling it a "specially tuned high pass filter"?

AFAICT, this would have almost no effect when volume control is on full, and when volume rolled down, it would alternatively let you treble bleed (or darken).

Yeah, all 330 pF can really do on a guitar is a treble bleed.
You will never understand How it feels to live your life With no meaning or control And with nowhere left to go You are amazed that they exist And they burn so bright
Whilst you can only wonder why
