  • I bought some B-stock SD pickups

They look perfect except for a tiny solder blob on one of the leads that makes me think they were used and returned. Anyone know how SD defines B- stock? Thanks!

I am curious as to where you bought them.

Off some dude on craigslist and they have a little "B-stock" sticker on them.

But you can find a fair amount of B-stock labeled ones on Reverb as well

I didn’t know this was a thing. Does SD even release b stock for sale? I kinda think this seller is selling used pickups and just calling them “b stock” lol.

I wasn't aware they did, but that probably doesn't mean much.

That's interesting.. I know EMG does this ,they have a b-stock store set up on reverb where they post returns, used pickups, and blemish items that I believe still carry the EMG warranty. I'm not skeptical that this is fake, but they've certainly kept it under wraps with SD if it's true, I'm curious what the official word is on this.

Given their return policy, I'm surprised SD hasn't had a B-stock clearance page for years already.

                  Bet they are Chinese knock-offs.

Do the labels mention B-stock? Or the boxes?

I've never heard of "B-stock" SD pups.
But then again, he bought them on craigslist.

The ones on Reverb labeled 'B stock' are just used.

I’ll get some pics up here

I live in Santa Barbara where Seymour Duncan is located. It’s not out of reason that he somehow wrangled some used ones that were returned and labeled as b stock

No, it isn't, I just hadn't heard of it, so I am curious.
