  • Exactly how different is a Jazz neck compared to an A2P neck?

I know these pickups are different, but they are both a pickup that im considering for a neck les paul pickup.

In what ways would people describe their differences?

the aph2 is darker and more touch-sensitive...the jazz is clearer and brighter. I like the aph2.

I have an APH-1 in my Les Paul because I like the smoothness and touch-sensitivity. That being said, I have a Jazz in the neck of all my other humbucker guitars because it simply can't be beat for versatility. I also like how it can sound very Strat-like depending on playing technique.

Which is why many people play electric guitars but very very few of them are actually musicians.

So the jazz is actually good for Jazzy stuff, funnily enough. Being clearer and brighter and all.
