  • Bluesbucker vs HFH vs PAF Joe

Anyone try all of these?? I have a Humbucker From Hell so I know what that sounds like but I was curious to try a Bluesbucker or PAF Joe or even just a regular PAF.

    Can anyone comment on these???

The Bluesbucker sounds cool but can it get chimey cleans?? I like the HFH and it's great but I'm just looking to try something new possibly for my next guitar.

my friend has a bluesbucker in a 335 and the thing kicks ass.the cleans is what it specializes in. and it has that classic p-90 smooth crunch that i love. i havent tryed the paf joe yet but it looks promesing.

the joe is a paf pro with less bass and more highs best for the neck only
the bluesbucker is a very modern P-90, many dont know this but one coil is just for show,it has no output
both would be a good sub for the HFH

Yeah, I think I'm gonna try the Bluesbucker and the PAF Joe if I can get my hands on them. They sound pretty cool.

well rg2570 is pretty much right about the paf joe. hmm, but i still prefer the paf pro in the neck of my axe. hmm as for bluesbucker i wouldnt know.

paf joe has more output than the HFH and well doesnt sound as nice clean as the HFH since the HFH is made to be a 'single-coil' sounding humbucker. but the HFH provides more clarity than the paf pro IMO

              Old post but...

Have you seen how close are the PAF Joe and Bluesbucker!?

              PAF Joe: T 6.5 - M 5 - B 4.5 - output: 272mV - 8.26K - Alnico V
              Bluesbucker T 6 - M 5.5 - B 4.5 - output : 265mV - 9,85K - Ceramic

Virtual Vintage technology for both. Airbucker technology for the Bluesbucker.

              Someone tried them both?
