I really wanted to know if it would be wiser to go with a custom or the air zone?
i have a tone zone i am selling now,and am told the air one is a lot more dynamic but basically the same tone?
and many rave over the custom so i want to find out of these two which best fits the description of most dynamic,clear and articulate?Last edited by RG 2570; 06-15-2004, 10:25 AM.

i think air zone would do itDown at the edge, close by a river.
Close to the edge, round by the corner.
Close to the end, down by the corner.
Down at the edge, round by the river.

The Dimarzio Air Zone compares to which Duncan?• EBMM JPX BFR (Crunch Lab/Liquifire)
• Schecter C-1 Classic (Custom8/Jazz)
• Mayones Duvell 7 Standard (Instrumental SFTY-3/Decomp)
• G&L Tribute Comanche
• Godin Stadium 59 (Custom Cajun/'59)
• Horizon Precision Drive --> Fulltone FB3/FD 2 --> Crybaby From Hell (Fasel) --> Boss BF-2 --> CH-1 --> TC Flashback X4
• Mesa/Boogie Mark IV-B (SED =C= 6L6) + EarCandy BuzzBomb 2x12 (V30/C90)

Originally posted by PeterkuAnswering your question, if you found the Tone Zone to have that WHA feel, then the Air Zone will have it, too. The AZ's based on the TZ, the only difference I think is that "Air"-trick in the pickup, that's similar to lowering the TZ under the strings. But you could ask this from the company itself, DiMarzio has a very quick e-mail customer support. For me, the Tone Zone and the Air Zone are my favourites in my two el.guitars.
so far it is the best i have tried,i still want to get a duncan custom to solve my last curiosity
