  • FS/FT: Fuchs Plush Drive

Ok so this has been a hard call but I've made a decision to let go of my Fuchs Plush Drive. They describe this as Robben in a box and it does just that and a bit more thanks to its "touch" control. Minor scuffs on top from normal use. I'm looking to get $110 shipped within con. US I'll have pics up later!

I'm interested in buying it, but I would like to know a few things. I have played the Valve Job which I heard was the Plush Drive with a preamp tube. The problem I had with it was that it only sounded good at the end of my signal chain, after my overdrive. It only sounded and responded good if I had the touch almost full on, the input level up high, and the gain way up high. I did not like how the controls interacted, but I loved how it smoothed out my tone to where it sounded a lot like Eric Johnson.

How would you describe the Plush Drive and how the controls interact? Also PM if Paypal is accepable. Thanks.

Pretty much the opposite of the feel you described. I find it very touch responsive with the feel almost off and it just gets tighter and less "squishy" (my way of saying less of a sag feel) the higher you bring the feel control. I've run this in several spots at different points of my pedal chain and I didn't notice a big difference. I love this pedal both as a overdrive and also as a clean type preamp, I used it on a Bad Cat Cub II and when I had it on clean it gave it a much more rounded fender type feel. My only gripe would be that it can be a bit dark on some amps. I've used it on several Fenders and Vox amps with great results. The volume does not have to be cranked and I favor the gain at about 12-3 o clock for a nice singing overdrive.
