Hey, I appreciate the offer but I'm after cash right now.

I'll keep it in mind if this sits for much longer though. Always wanted to try that pup.

    Thanks!

I'm kind of curious to see how an EVO sounds in a Mahogany Ibanez Sabre. Had intended on putting a PATB 1 or 3 in the bridge with a Prails neck, but this could work in the bridge. Let me see how much cashola I have left after this weekend. I might just buy it if ya don't want to trade.

        Cool, man.

        Just let me know.

To be completely honest, I think it's best in mahogany. Tames those crazy highs.

hey I am pretty interested. I got an Alder body axe with edge pro and 1 piece maple neck with ebony fingerboard and it has a Norton in the bridge right now. It has strong acoustic lows to mid mids and some slight upper mids and lacks a treble response, would this pickup throw some serious highs into the equation? If so, Ill take it man.

I can stake my life that it will! The EVO is a very misunderstood pup,
if steve vai was not involved this pup would be way more popular!
Everyone thinks its the vai tone in a box and it is not about that at all.

Essentially the design is to combine the clarity, articulationharmonics and presence of the PAF pro with the power, punch, drive of the super d.

If you're looking for crazy highs then this would definitely be your pickup! I don't know what it is about it but this thing really cuts through. Like allowing your presence knob to go to 15.

it has more presence than normal because it is a dimarzio "dual resonance" design model. it lets more overtones through than standard buckers.

Interesting. I know a few, if not all, of my DiMarzios have the dual resonance asymmetrical design going on.

I really think that's what draws me to DiMarzios so much. All of em are certainly unique but they just have this inherent character that I just love.

well, I was thinking about it, but your Jedi mind tricks don't work on me (ie I just don't dig the Vai-esque tonality of this pup). Rebel scum!
