I had a lot of fun with this assembly, but its time to thin the herd down .
This guitar has an Aftermarket 12" Radius Maple neck , that, for being a budget neck, plays very well, and bends forever. Frets are great. Neck is arrow straight, stable ( does not move), and tight to the body, and the truss rod works 100%.
The Body is from the Fender Squier '51 Series , now out of production replaced by the
Fender Pawn Shop series at a much loftier price.
The guitar has been 'reliced', and has a cool Gold Nitrocellulose finish.
Its got a GFS neck P-90, and a Bridge Dimarzio Bluesbucker flipped. The Bridge is a Genuine Fender Robert Cray Bridge with Bent Steel Saddles
Flipping that Bluesbucker, which is a humbucking P-90 sound, really took care of the brightness of that Agathis wood in the bridge, and the middle position sounds nice .
Neck P-90 sounds Good and Punchy and articulate in this guitar. One stress mark around the neck pocket thats pretty normal for a lot of fenders, and does not go through to the wood. Thres some peeling of the Nitro Paint right around the neck pocket and neck pickup that is 100% Cosmetic only.
The action is low, the bridge is set up well, it plays well, and the guitar holds tune as it should.
Included is a Free Duncan Strap pictured, and the nice new deluxe gigbag.
Two-Seventy Five Shipped. Trade offers for anything gear related.
Checks these guitars out. They are fun to play, sound great and have a huge following of dedicated modders- check the intrawebs for " Fender Squire 51".
