  • I made more pickups than I can use in my guitars!! SALE/TRADE

I have quite a few pickups sitting around that I made for doing demos and comparisons with. Now that I've decided which ones I want in my guitars, I still have several left over. These are all hand wound by me. The higher priced ones are posted first.

    1) "Full Range Humbucker" neck pickup. I actually have two of these but one doesn't already have a cover wax potted on it like the pictured one.

Info: These is the only ones COMPLETELY wound by hand I have. It is much different than a Wide Range Humbucker, despite its appearance. It sounds similar to a Strat neck pickup but with no hum and a bit more relaxed treble peak.
    Resistance: 6.1K
    Inductance: 2.6H
Cost: $100 shipped (the most expensive one I'm selling by far because its not just scatter-wound, but wound completely by hand. It took around 12 hours of just winding.)

    2) High Output Alnico 8 Telecaster Bridge pickup

Info: As much 42 AWG wire as I could fit onto a a tele pickup with A8 magnets. Its hot and the low mids are very noticeable, but still has single coil like attack. Fun pickup for crunch/distortion, or anything not needing sparkly cleans.
    Resistance: 12.1K
    Inductance: 7.2H
    Cost: $45 shipped

    4) Strat Neck Pickup

ID:	5838649
Info: A Strat neck pickup made with single build wire, so its slightly less bright than a 50's strat pickup.
    Resistance: 6.2K
    Inductance: 2.5H
    Cost: $30 shipped

    5) Strat .25" magnet pickup

Size:	23.0 KB
ID:	5838650
Info: A Strat pickup wound with thicker rod magnets and also wound hotter than stock.
    Resistance: 7.5K
    Inductance: 3.8H
    Cost: $40 shipped

    6) Alnico 8 Strat pickup

Name:	STR Reg.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	22.4 KB
ID:	5838649
Info: Over-wound a fair amount and more low mids with A8 magnets.
    Resistance: 9.0K
    Inductance: 4.4H
    Cost: $40 shipped

Prices Dropped. Feel free to make trade offers too. These perfectly fine pickups are just sitting around lonely and not being put to use.

Is the Wide Range regular humbucker size?
Or is it actual WR size and will fit in my Tele Thinline?
Why don't you take your little Cobra Kais and get outta here?!

Its regular humbucker sized. It also sounds much more like a Strat or Tele neck pickup than a Wide Range, because it only has 3 magnets per coil (avoids phase cancellation which is part of the humbucker sound).

Of course! If you haven't heard of it, you might want to check out the Mojotone Wide Range Humbuckers. They have a video demo of them compared to stock modern "Wide Range" pickups.

Thanks, I certainly will. The Lollars look great, but are dear.
I have a set of Lollar Imperials in one guitar; amazing pickups!
