I suppose I would consider a set of either, or a set that includes either, if it turns out that's all I can get.

Are you going to make a hybrid with them?

No, just trying to complete sets. Just bought a JB, so I need a Jazz to go with it (yeah, it's cliche, but I've never tried it so I want to see what all the fuss was about) and a PG bridge. I suppose I could put something else with the PG, but what I've heard about the PGn sounds like it's what I'd want anyway, unless I got a WLHn. And I can't afford Seths, so there you go.

It just put into my head the idea of a PGn/JazzN hybrid neck pup.

Well, I'm too much of a novice at that kind of thing for it to even have crossed my mind.

It seems like it might be something right up my alley if it existed. When it comes to humbuckers, I pretty much go for either '70s classic rock, or early Allman Brothers/ZZ Top, hence the JB for the former and the PG for the latter. Or a dirty boogie/blues sound from John Lee Hooker to CCR and George Thorogood. Oh, and a set for clean jazz in a 335-type.

I also want some single coils for other stuff.

About the only thing I'm not interested in is metal.
