Plays and sounds great, a little on the heavy side at 9lbs 2oz, so a lot of Les Paul vibe in a super strat style guitar. That vibe is helped by the Pearly Gates in the bridge and Jazz in the neck, pots changed to CTS Emerson pots with new dome knobs. 5 piece maple/walnut neck with birdseye fingerboard and abalone inlays, chrome floyd, mahogany body with 1/4" flame maple cap (not a veneer) and matching flame maple veneer on headstock.
Great guitar and looks great, no dings or scratches and no fretwear. It really sounds like a LP in a shredder body, but gets very vintage strat-ty positions 2 - 4 on the 5-way switch. For some reason I'm just not bonding with it, maybe I played Ibanez for way too many years. Picked this up after getting back to work last summer, looking for something to replace my old rootbeer JEM, and while this one is sweet, it's not the same.
No case but comes in a nice thick Levy's gig bag from "Full Scale" music school.
Price drop to $500 PP'd and shipped in the lower 48 US.
