Thoughts on the Milwaukee area music scene in general, and, specifically, how has it evolved for you over the years?
I'm still not totally sure about that one dude's name... It's taken at Country Stadium...

Did you just happen to read a post on another forum that I posted today??

Milwaukee used to have a really vibrant "indie" music scene. A bunch of clubs and a bunch of really great bands. For a while, most bands were really friendly with each other- and that was great, everyone was going to everyone else's shows- and Tuesday nite at the Landmark was cheap import nite- All the local rock stars would be there putting down dollar imports. It was the ultimate scene networking thing. I didn't see it being a "clique" or anything like that-

When I started noticing that it wasn't the same- I thought it was because I was just not "in" anymore. It had gotten pretty weird.

From what I've been seeing, there seems to be more of a band community developing in Milwaukee. A lot of the old bars are gone, but new, smaller places are around. Since I'm actually out of the city, and all "Mr. Family Man" I don't get out like I used to. But it looks like Milwaukee's back on the right track to a real scene again.

    My name is Dave

I live on the second floor.

    I live upstairs from you.

Yes, I think you've seen me before.

(Startin' off good- Terrence Trent Darby and Suzane Vega...)

Thanks to Jake for the nomination-

For this fun filled, action packed, seat soakin' installation of The Well, you get The Golden Boy- snarkier than Janeane Garofalo, hawter than Paris Hilton, manlier than Natalie Portman, portlier than than Uma Thurman, yummier than Candi Evans, even-er than... that chick from Even Stevens...

Enough! Fire away!!! (if you dare...)
Working...
