  • Mean & Dirty CC blues clip

I am recycling some old stuff since I'm not recording anything new.

This is a blues improvisation with medium-high gain with a CC in the bridge position.

    bye

    what guitar is that in?

the guitar sounds great, really big - and you didnt go over the top speed wise, but i'd like to hear you hold back a little more on the runs but thats just a suggestion

      hey thanks for the suggestion.

this was just a practise and I used to leave the record button on... (when my pc worked a bit better than now).

the guitar is an italian custom made Jacaranda. It looks a bit like a les paul but sounds a bit different.

I liked your playing. The speed was actually part of your phrasing versus a "watch me play fast" type of thing. That is very cool. I enjoyed it.

Great playing, great fat tone. We come to expect that from you Marin

Maybe I should stop trying to get a good fat tone from my neck pup and just buy an A2 magnet and change the ceramic of my Custom.

Nice! I like the start/stop thing. Adds TONS to the phasing.

Great tune man!!! You know, you have a style on your own, your playing it is easy reconizable. I think that it is on of the best achivements that can reach a guitarrist.

                Congrats!!!

thanks. It costs in the 2500-2750 euro range, depending on the "options". One needs to consider that it is entirely made by hand.

The guys who made it (www.jacaranda.it) actually have different standard models. I "designed" this one myself and we "made" it together. It has a very good tone and is very resonant. The fretboard is very fast (sometimes too much). It was a learning experience and maybe I would change some things on a new one today, but it remains an excellent annd versatile guitar. Very light to carry as well.

Here are some pics of how it was made:

Could be your solution! I think that the key to "fat" is a mixture of midrange and bass. A2 sounds indicative in that kind of situation.

                    thanks

Thank you very much. I have to admit that I ever since I began playing, I always aspired to have a "style" of own, otherwise the whole thing wouldn't have had any sense to me.

Copying other guys is like being able to speak very well but having nothing of your own to say.

I mean, if one has made such an effort to learn to play, why not "say something" of you own?

Or at least try? (whether its good or bad )

                          thanks.

A pause is a note as well so I try to use it!
