  • Videos of my first "real" gig!

My dad's fraternity friend, Bill Oliver (who was also Shawn Lane's best friend, he's the guy on the right in the videos), was playing at a local bar, so we thought we'd drop by and see them play. Well, I happened to have my guitar in the car, so they asked if I wanted to sit in. I was a little hesitant (I've really only played in front of my friends at school, such as my avatar), but I accepted.

I used my cheap blue Kramer (JB in the bridge) through Bill's rig (Mesa Roadster and some pedals (I only used the BB Preamp)).

Here's us jamming on "The Sky is Crying"

http://www.myspace.com/wadelaycookThis clip was taken from my impromptu jam with the Memphis Yahoos doing "The Sky Is Crying" at the Huey's in Cordova, TN. I...

We also played ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man" (my solos are around :30 and another one around 2:00 )

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

    Just thought I'd share!

Very rockin', and I wouldn't be disappointed to hear that in a bar when enjoying a brew. Nice tone and chops man, no need to understate yourself.

The guy I was playing with was Shawn's best friend. Shawn's probably my favorite player. He's got everything (melody, technique, feel, etc.) I have one of the original copies of Powers of Ten...it's amazing! I've got the Warner Bros book with him holding his white Strat. I don't have the DVD though (although I've seen it).

                            Once again, thanks!
